Serie A Fantasy: Player Picks and Team Review for Gameweek 1

Serie A Fantasy is back and tipster Bornob Munna shares his top player picks and his the teams to consider for gameweek 1.

Serie A will be starting this year with a bang with many new significant signings for the big teams. Also, there are lots of cheap price assets newly added. Here are my suggestions for this season:

Goalkeepers

One from Maignan (Milan), Provedel (Lazio), Yann Sommer (Inter) and Musso (Atalanta). Plus, one from either Monza or Bologna is perfect for the season.

Defenders

Atalanta: Toloi, Zappacosta, Meahle And a new signing from the Bundesliga – Bakker – might be an option.

Lazio: If they sign Pellegrini, Romagnoli (all tho many managers who are picking other premium defenders won’t need him if they already have Provedel), and Maurisic.

Milan: Theo Hernandez (one of the best premium defenders in the game and a great captain and vice-captain option), Tomori and Thiaw.

Inter: Di Marco, Bastoni, Acerbi and Dumfries might all be options but they will be rested some time so it is best to pick Darmian as he is nailed as either a wing-back or RCB. Inzagi has never benched him.

Roma: Ndicka (new signing but I am not going to pick him right away and wait for him to adapt to the league first), Smalling (premium plus a must-have as Ibañez left the Serie A), Spinazzola(sometimes he is on a different level in terms of giving return points). Others will be on rotation such as Zeki Celik, Ramus Kristensen and Karsdrop.

Napoli: Captain De Lorenzo (premium) and Mario Rui (an essential asset that has mostly been overlooked by others).

Juventus: Danilo (premium), Alex Sandro (cheap price),  Bremer (premium but not in consideration), Kostic, Samuel Junior, Weah (plays wing-back or going to play wing-back but you will find him in midfield). Kostic was one of the best picks last season after Danilo! Rugani and others maybe not that much of attacking or considerable.

Fiorentina: Newly joined Parisi with Igor left and Mexican Martinez & Nikola of Serbia are the most influential players in defence I think for this year.

Midfielders

Milan: Bennacer is injured, Ante Rebic is gone and CDK is probably leaving on loan to Atalanta. With Pulisic, Samuel, Romero, RLC, TR and Musah newly added to upgrade the midfield, an option has to be on your radar. But I think the best option is going to be Pulisic & Nigerian Samuel Chukwueze. Not counting Rade Crunic, Adli and Saelemaekers as good options but TR can prove good as he is cheaper than Samuel & Pulisic.

Inter: Henrik, Calhanouglu, Barella trio has competition now since Frattesi joined and Sensi returned from loan while Cuadrado is also an option after he joined from rival Juventus. Asslani & Lazao might get chances when UCL is on. But for now, Barella, Hakan and Frattesi seem like the best picks.

Roma: Dybala and Pellegrini are both injured so the only option worth considering is Cristante while Portuguese Renato Sanchez might join fellow Portuguese man Mourinho’s side.

Napoli: Premium Kvaratskhelia (12M) is not my pick as it unbalances the team very much. Lozano, Politano, newly joined Gaetano, and Cajuste will be in Rotation while Demme, Lbotka and Anguissa are defensive and not considered much as worthy midfield assets in Serie A Fantasy.

Fiorentina: In Fiorentina, there are loads of midfield options to consider like Barak, Bonaventura and Nico Gonzalez. Amrabat is linked to a transfer abroad and Castrovilli will share responsibility in attack. The other midfielders are Duncan, Rolando, Ikone, Berkalo, and Arthur. New signing Gino Infantino with Moroccan Sabiri might come on mostly as substitutes.

Lazio: SMS is gone, Luis Alberto might also be out so Lazio will be dependent on Japanese Kamada (8M). Isaksen might get the right-wing spot ahead of old Lazio man Felipe Anderson (8.6M) and Pedro might mostly get minutes as a sub unless Immobile is injured to play as a forward and if Lazio brings a striker he might not even be considered. The most dangerous man should be Left winger Zaccagni (8.0M). On the other hand, Vecino, Cataldi, Antonio, Akpro, and Bašić are all not in demand for attacking returns like Alberto, Anderson, Zaccagni Isaksen, and Kamada except Matteo Cancellieri as Sarri must start him as a forward.

Atalanta: Koopmeiners is probably not fit with Boga and Cambiaghi out in addition to Miranchuk being back from loan. Things are going to be interesting unless CDK joins them. He probably will be on my radar. The most picked is obviously Lookman but De Roon should also be considered while Pasalic is better if he plays behind Lookman. Vorlicky, Adopo and Ederson are not in my interest for Serie A Fantasy.

Lecce: Another team with loads of options midfield. But this team has to be targeted for their budget assets like FDF, and Banda. Mid-price range Strefezza can be another good option and there are other cheap options too like Maleh, Oudin, Pontus, Blin, Joan, Pablo & Ramadani etc.

Torino: A midfield full of mid-range and budget midfielders. There are Ilic, Verdi, Ricci, Vlasic, and Radjonic as mid-range options. On the other hand, there is Linetty, Tameze, Seck, Kone, Brian, and Gineitis for budget-conscious Serie A Fantasy managers. But my Radar would be on Radjonic & Vlasic.

Forwards

Lazio: With captain Immobile in his final years, he is not the best option to pick but many managers and Lazio fans still love him.

Milan: AC Milan wants a striker to reduce the burden on Giroud. But till now Giroud and Colombo are options and Okafor might be a super sub but not nailed.

Inter: Captain Lautaro Martinez is a prolific striker with Frenchman Marcus Thuram (7M) might be on the radar but I sold him from my first draft because still now sure who might Inter brought to get competition as Correa is likely living and if Balougan joins, it will interesting but confusing for Serie A Fantasy managers.

Napoli: Premium forward Nigerian Lion Victor Osimhen is in devastating form and is locked in my team as the first option for striker. Simione and Raspadori were benched last season mostly coming on from the bench. Now here is the thing if Lozano leaves, I want Raspadori to take the right-wing spot. I prefer his talent and also our Bangladeshi Rossoneri big brothers who consider him to be like Thomas Muller.

Roma: Tammy is injured so Mourinho wants to bring in a striker. Don’t know who it will be but for the first few GWs, he will be the starter with Belotti as Dybala and Pellegrini are also injured. Just gonna watch him and might bring him later on.

Atalanta: Sold Højlund for big money and brought Scamacca and Toure shows that Gasperini wants to offload Muriel also Zapata and bring them back to UCL and the top 4. If CDK joins Atalanta With Lookman, Pasalic, Scamacca and Toure, Atalanta might have one of the most lethal attacks in the leagues. For now, Lookman and Scamacca are on my team and locked in for the first GW.

Genoa: The new fantasy favourite of this season is here, the Argentina-born Italian striker Matteo Retegui. In the Copa Italia against Modena, he scored two goals. He is in my team for now.

Fiorentina: End of Arthur Cabral, but last season’s best budget pick forward Mbae Nzola joins the party with Jovic. Don’t know how Nzola will fit in if Nico Gonzalez is gone.

Empoli: Caputo is their main man of attack at 7M but I am not going to take him as in my opinion, there are lots of good options at a lower price.

Bologna: Arnautovic (has an issue with the club and might leave) so the only option is Lapadula.

Torino: Dia & Sanabria are the two favourites from the previous season.

Serie A Fantasy: Tipster Team for Gameweek 31

Tipster Bornob shares his picks and transfers for gameweek 31 of Serie A Fantasy.

Serie A Fantasy Gameweek 31 Team

I took two hits in Serie A Fantasy this week:

  • Rasmus Out Cabral in
  • Frattesi out Barella in
  • Ibanez out Dimarco in

It’s getting really crazy for me. Two GWs, no up-to-the-mark points.🤣🐸

AC Milan will face Lecce at San Siro so my two star picks Theo+Leao are back. Inter Milan will be going away to Empoli to fight back for a UCL spot, and my eyes are on Barella & Di Marco who played outstandingly in both legs of the UCL quarters finals.

I might take another hit to get Pellegrini in for Lauriente. It has to be Pellegrini in because after the injury to Dybala, he took the responsibility for scoring goals and creating creative chances which might’ve caught everybody’s eye.

Lazio face Torino at home and it’s 80% expected that Provedel will keep a cleansheet. While his teammate Zaccagni might fire up again.

All my three forwards will be playing in the away game. The only problem is if Osimhen is fit enough mentally and is Napoli fit capable of coming back strongly to keep the title hope alive after years.

If I am not wrong, I think it might be shocking if Di Marco doesn’t start. I would bring Monza defensive asset, Carlos Augusto.

That’s all for now. Follow me on Twitter @RamboMunna at Facebook @Bornob Munna. I will be waiting for your valuable comment and shares.

Serie A Fantasy: Tipster Team for Gameweek 30

Bornob shares his Serie A fantasy tipster team of the week for gameweek 30 in this article.

I have made two transfers which was on my hand:

  • Dybala (injured) to Frattesi
  • Lookman to Lauriente

Based on Sassuolo are so good at home games, and Juventus is probably without their 1st choice keeper, and they are conceding too many goals recently even THOUGH they are winning. On the other hand, Lookman is in off-form facing in form facing Fiorentina away.

Goalkeeper

I prefer Lukasz Skorupski over Provedel as it’s his home game, and he has given 12 points in previous GW.

Defenders

Bologna Defender Posch is the first choice with a four-person backline leaving out Theo Hernandez, and he might be rested for UCL. On the other hand, captain Danilo might be back on starting XI Against Sassuolo in the away match. My other defence assets are Ibanez of Roma, who has a home game against Udinese & Carlos Augusto of Monza, who is facing the mighty Nerrazuri in San Siro while drawing in the previous clash at the home of Monza.

Serie A Fantasy Midfield Picks

My midfielder options are Kvara, who will play a home game against relegation-threatened Verona (Capped him for this GW). Zaccagni is in decent form with a goal and assist in almost every match recently—and two Sassuolo midfield assets against Juventus in the home game.

Serie A Fantasy Forward Picks

Osimhen is injured, and Rafale Leão is probably gonna be rested again and can play a little bit like last gw 29. So my choice is Nzola for the home game against Lazio & Danish Viking Hoejlund of Atalanta Bergamo Against Fiorentina.

The GW transfer Deadline is closed tonight 21.30 PM of 14th April so be ready steady to enjoy your Serie A fantasy GW 30. (Bangladesh Time)

Serie A Fantasy: Best Player Picks for Gameweek 25

Which are the best players to consider in gameweek 25 of Serie A Fantasy? Tipster Bornob shares his thoughts.

Undoubtedly, Serie A is now quite a competitive league. And this season, it gets more exciting with the battle of the top 6 as Napoli are far away from Milan and Inter. But the UCL & UEL, and UECL league spot battles are quite fantastic to watch as there is Milan, Inter, Roma Lazio, and Atalanta. On the other hand, Torino, Juventus, Spezia, and Udinese are the ones who surprised us with an amazing turnaround.

As table Topper Napoli meets tonight against Lazio, it would be a huge battle to watch. Napoli uses a 4-3-3 attacking formation. And their attacking Duo is obviously the easy pick. Here are my picks for gameweek 25:

Serie A Fantasy Forward Picks Gameweek 25

Victor Osimhen (C)

💰 Price: €8.4M

🟦 Club: Napoli

A premium forward who is in devastating form. Yes, Lazio has been very good at defending, but you can always rely on this Nigerian.

M’Bala Nzola (VC)

💰 Price: €5.0M

🟡 Club: Spezia

The most prolific striker of this season is back again, as he is the most decent performer for Spezia. He scored 14 points in GW24 since coming back in Round 23. He will face a bottom team Verona who has been really frustrating this season.

Lautaro Martinez

💰 Price: €10.8M

🔵 Club: Inter Milan

Inter will welcome Lecce on their home turf San Siro, and I am quite sure after those unlucky shots on target that didn’t go in, Lautaro will find his way back to the goal.

Serie A Fantasy Midfield Picks Gameweek 25

Paolo Dybala

💰 Price: €10.0M

🐺 Club: Roma

A premium midfielder and one of the most creative midfielders of Mourinho’s Roma at that. He is back from a minor injury and played outstandingly well in the Europa League round of 16 qualifiers. He will face Juventus at home, and although Juventus’ defence is solid, you can’t be too sure because they conceded two goals against city rivals Torino.

Ademola Lookman

💰 Price: €5.6M

⬛ Club: Atalanta

A low-price performing midfielder you really wanna pick now for GW25 is obviously Lookman. Looking at his recent performance, he is predicted to be back on the score sheet after a bad performance against Milan.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia

💰 Price: €7.0M

🟦 Club: Napoli

The rising star of Georgia is my third pick for this week as they face Lazio at home.

Serie A Fantasy Defender Picks Gameweek 25

Roger Ibañez

💰 Price: €5.4M

🐺 Club: Roma

One of the most consistent performers in Mourinho’s Roma defence, who is so crucial from the set-pieces.

Theo Hernandez

💰 Price: €7.4M

🔴 Club: AC Milan

The best-attacking defender in Serie A is my most favourite to pick. They will be facing Fiorentina, who are gonna be in big trouble as Pioli is giving him more freedom with a new formation and tactical changes using him as a wing-back.

Carlos Augusto

💰 Price: €4.4M

⚪ Club: AC Monza

One of the best point scorers at such a cheap price, and he is back from injury. I transferred him in for Baschirotto. He will face another team Empoli which is fighting in the relegation zone.

Danilo

💰 Price: €5.2M

⚫ Club: Juventus

The captain of Turin’s old lady never disappoints me with how much he scores. He is really a good leader and playing his best season at Juventus. But he will face Roma away from Turin, which is a tough game.

Goalkeeper

Ivan Provedel

💰 Price: €4.6M

🦅 Club: Lazio

Provedel is one of the best reasons why Lazio are keeping a clean sheet and battling for the top 4. This young guy made some outstanding saves. I will look up to him tonight.

Bench

Stefan Posch (Bologna, €4.4M)
Marten Hjulmund (Lecce, €4.2M)
Rafael Leão (AC Milan, €10M)

Serie A Fantasy: Gameweek 2 Preview

With just a few hours to go for the gameweek 2 deadline, tipster Aaron shares his insights on the best teams and players for the week in Serie A Fantasy.

We go again. Gameweek 1 is in the books and points have been updated. We learned one thing from round one and that is points update overnight. Round two of Serie A Fantasy is back open for transfers to take place by us Fantasy managers. Moving forward this week, we are going to take another look through some of the games from Saturday, Sunday and Monday and where the points will come from the most.

UDINESE VS SALERNITANA

Salernitana narrowly avoided relegation last season, by achieving 18 points from their previous 15 matches. I wonder is that going to happen again this time around. At home to AS Roma this past week, it was a close-fought match and they managed to only lose 0-1. If you are on the lookout this week from Salernitana, they have some great under €5.0M options for your bench or fourth defender spot. Take Federico Fazio, who against AS Roma, came up with a six-point haul.

There are actually some great names in the Salernitana squad, that should get Fantasy managers’ hearts pumping. Former Inter Milan and Lazio midfielder Antonio Candreva and former Bayern Munich and Fiorentina attacking midfielder Franck Ribery also play for Salernitana. Candreva will cost you €7.6M, but Ribery will only cost €6.0M.

On the Udinese side of things: Former Watford forward Gerard Deulofeu came up with goods, even though AC Milan came out of the winning side last weekend. Seven points on a points score of €7.4M, one assist and three points from playing 90 minutes. Another former Watford midfielder Roberto Pereyra was on point in the midfield, with seven points including an assist and two bonus points.

INTER MILAN VS SPEZIA

Spezia had a great start to their Serie A campaign last weekend. I believe this week it will all come undone against Inter Milan. Their defenders and goalkeeper were the ones to have last week and again this week their keeper will be one to have, if Inter can get many a shot off. Bartlomiej Dragowski will be a save points magnet having come through with 11 points, costing €4.8M. On their defensive line, three of their players made the grade. Simone Bastoni, Mattia Caldara and Dimitris Nikolaou were the ones to have and will continue to be, given they are €5.0M and under, scoring 15, 10 and 10 points each.

Points were evenly shared throughout the Inter Milan side. Whether it be the defence, midfield or attack. Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez more or less shared the points. Martinez assisted Lukaku for the goal, helping both finish on seven and nine points apiece. In midfield, Nico Barella is the man to pick this weekend. Both Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez this week, we expect are going to profit massively this week off assists and goals, coming from each other and Barella.

NAPOLI VS MONZA

Monday night saw Napoli kick things off in the right way with a 5-2 win over Verona. Monza themselves closely fought it out on Saturday coming off second best against Torino. Though this week, I do not foresee them getting the three points against Napoli. If you are looking for a differential pick for the Naples side, Victor Osimhen is priced at €8.4M, much less than the likes of Tammy Abraham and Dusan Vlahovic. He managed to bag 11 points, scoring from open play and assisting.

Midfield was where it was at for Napoli this week past. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, selected by 14.0% of managers, picked up 14 points, Piotr Zielinski and Stanislav Lobotka, picked up 10 points a piece. This week, are seen as differentials, picked by 6.0% and 2.0% of managers respectively. I see it happening again this weekend against Monza. Napoli having most of the ball and possession, scoring a hat full of goals and coming away with the three points.

AS ROMA VS CREMONESE

Cremonese are back in Serie A for the first time since 1993/94 and they made a big splash against Fiorentina. They may have gone down to a 3-2 defeat, but as with Salernitana, they can provide kindly priced options for your bench or fourth choice spots. Take, for example, David Okereke, priced at just €4.8M and coming away with seven points. He only played 87 minutes but scored and came away with bonus points also.

Luca Zanimacchia in midfield and Matteo Bianchetti are both picked by under 5.0% of managers, but if they can keep this up, will be ticking over nicely throughout the season, even if they go up against AS Roma this coming weekend.

AS Roma came out with three points, in a hard-fought match against Salernitana last weekend, but against Cremonese, they will have enough in the tank. It was 10 points all around in Fantasy for the Romans, as Rui Patricio, Gianluca Mancini, Roger Ibanez and Leonardo Spinazzola came away with cleansheets. I fully expect this to happen once again. Other than Leonardo Spinazzola, Roger Ibanez and Gianluca Mancini are picked by 5.0% or under of managers. Spinazzola, himself is picked by 24.0% of managers.

Finally, if I could I would pick Bryan Crisante in midfield this week. Yet another differential for midfield, only selected by 3.0% of managers ahead of this weekend’s games. 13 points from a price of €5.0M, get on him quickly in Serie A Fantasy.

Serie A Fantasy: Player Picks for Gameweek 1

Fantasy football enthusiasts have long awaited a Serie A fantasy football game, and now we finally have one. With less than 24 hours left for the start of another exciting season of top-flight football in Italy, we look at the best picks on gameweek 1 in this article.

Hello and welcome to our first article for the guys here at Fantasy Tipsters. We greatly appreciate the chance to write on Serie A Fantasy. Please find below our picks for the first round of Serie A this weekend.

LECCE VS INTER MILAN

The second-best side in Serie A last season kick off their 2022/23 campaign against Lecce. Looking over the Inter Milan side in Serie A Fantasy, we can have only two players per side. Thus, we’ve decided to pick players who we believe, for the first week, are going to come home with the points.

We’ve gone with a player up top who suddenly is back and feels loved by the Inter Milan Ultras and fans. Romelu Lukaku is picked by 22.7% of managers while also being priced at €10.6M. The same is happening in midfield. Nicolo Barella is our pick in midfield, picked by 22.8% of Serie A Fantasy managers.

Our question is, can Inter Milan kick things off in the right way against Lecce and perhaps go one step further in Serie A.

VERONA VS NAPOLI

Napoli who finished third ran the likes of Inter Milan who finished second last season, kick off their 2022/23 campaign away to Verona. Having taken a look over their squad ahead of the new season, they are full of kindly priced assets, who could be seen by some as differentials.

Currently knowing very little about Napoli, we’ve gone for certain players we know who will play. Polish international Piotr Zielinski, priced at €7.8M ahead of the season starting, is a possible differential for us, picked at under 5% (4.8%) ownership.

His colleague and not so much a differential in defence, Giovanni Di Lorenzo. €7.0M will allow you to bring in the Italian international for Napoli and join the other 11% of Fantasy managers whose squad he is part of.

JUVENTUS VS SASSUOLO

A super differential in the Juventus lineup comes in the form of their Italian right-back Mattia De Sciglio. Only picked by 0.7% of managers, De Sciglio is playing almost as a winger in Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus side. He is seen as a versatile footballer, who can play as a right-back, left-back, or wide midfielder, having spent last season on loan with Lyon.

In attack, we are kind of taking a punt on Dusan Vlahovic ahead of Round One in Serie A Fantasy. We could’ve gone for players, such as Romelu Lukaku or Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan. We’ve gone for Vlahovic, who signed only in January for €70 million. Serie A Fantasy has priced him at €11.0M.

This season, we see as one for consolidation for Juventus.
