With just two weeks left for the World Cup break, we take a look at the best players that could help you gain rank in our Bundesliga Fantasy player rankings for the first “English Week” of the season.

1Sadio ManéFCBvs SVW17.7MSince it is a midweek game, minutes are a concern and Mané tends to play full games plus was subbed off at 64 minutes in the last game while Musiala played the entire match which he rarely does.
2Marcus ThuramBMG@BOC13.2MThe player that shoots the most in the bundesliga (3.8 shots per game) against Bochum who have conceded the most shots (221). There isn't much else to say.
3Alassane PléaBMG@BOC12.2MThere is always a worry that Borussia could flop even against the worst team in the league away but I have a good feeling that they win this match convincingly with a good margin. He isn't putting up Thuram numbers but Pléa is in great form since returning from injury with five assists in five games.
4Jamal MusialaFCBvs SVW14.6M
5Marcus IngvartsenM05@S044.6MDespite his blank against Wolfsburg, he did have five shots which was more than any other Mainz player in the game and has four goals in his last five matches. Schalke have conceded the most penalties (3) after Bochum (5) so you will get some cover there too.
6Randal Kolo MuaniSGEvs TSG12.1MWas unlucky to not score in the last game but it is hard to keep him out of the action.
7Youssoufa MoukokoBVB@WOB10.1MI would like to think that Diaby is the best forward with a standalone fixture this week but odds seem to suggest that Moukoko is a better pick with a 38% chance of scoring. They did give him the second-highest goal scoring odds last week (49%) and he ended up being the highest scoring player for the week tied with Choupo-Moting who was just below him with a goal scoring probability of 47%.
8Moussa DiabyB04@KOE13.6MFour goals and two assists in his last five Bundesliga games but still underrated as a whole by Bundesliga fans and Bundesliga Fantasy managers.
9Sheraldo BeckerFCUvs FCA11MUnion and Becker are out of form but both have to bounce back eventually, especially if the aim is a top four finish. Augsburg have been conceding lots of big chances lately and this could be the game where Becker turns his form around.
10Serhou GuirassyVFBvs BSC8.4MHertha are in bad form too but both teams have shown a lot of fight in the last few weeks and this could be game with lots of goals as six points are on the line. I just find Guirassy a lot more risky with so many good games this week.

Midfielders

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Jonas HofmannBMG@BOC15.4M
2Christopher NkunkuRBLvs SCF17.5MSimply the most fixture-proof player in the league right now. He has seven goals in his last six Bundesliga games and is now the top scorer in the league with 11 goals.
3Daichi KamadaSGEvs TSG11.7M
4Joshua KimmichFCBvs SVW17.4MKimmich's best scores came when Sabitzer partnered him in midfield as his defensive work rate helped him attack more and with Goretzka possibly being replaced by Sabitzer for this game, I am tempted to transfer him in.

Even more so when I think about how Schalke with the least shots in the league (109) after Augsburg (93) managed to have the most shots in MD13 with 19 shots away against Werder Bremen.
5Lars StindlBMG@BOC10.3MWas rested in the last game so I am a little less worried about him being subbed early.
6Florian KainzKOEvs B0410MI like Kainz as a differential this week. Leverkusen might've drubbed league-leaders Union 5-0 but I am still a bit skeptical about them keeping a cleansheet in this game. Might be goals on both ends with how terrible both defences have been.
7Anton StachM05@S0410MFairly inconsistent this year but against Schalke, I am willing to give him a chance.
8Dominik SzoboszlaiRBLvs SCF13.8M
9Jude BellinghamBVB@WOB14.4MDortmund are still favourites in the game but surprisingly, they had the least shots on MD13 with just six against Bochum despite scoring three goals and that is putting me a bit off.
10Vincenzo GrifoSCF@RBL15.6MThis game looks evenly matched on paper but historically, Leipzig are unbeaten in their last six games against Freiburg and the last three games between these two sides across all competitions have ended 1-1. So there isn't much attacking potential for Grifo.

Defenders

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Ramy BensebainiBMG@BOC12.6M
2Aarón MartínM05@S048.5MOn set-pieces + great cleansheet odds this week.
3Lucas HernandezFCBvs SVW10MHernandez has the left-back spot on lock until the World Cup with Davies being out injured unlike Mazraoui who could still lose his spot when De Ligt returns for the game against Schalke later this week. And Hernandez' ability to win lots of duels should give him a decent floor.
4Jeremie FrimpongB04@KOE12.2MKoln have scored the least goals in the last three games (1) and also conceded the most goals over the last six games (16) so possibly there will be points on both ends for Frimpong here. Not a bad punt till the break considering he plays Stuttgart at home next week too.
5Silvan WidmerM05@S049.4M
6Niklas SüleBVB@WOB10.6MLike I mentioned above, Dortmund just didn't create many chances against Bochum but Süle's heatmap indicates that he was a lot more attacking than Guerreiro.
7Borna SosaVFBvs BSC12.6MOther than the game against Dortmund which Stuttgart lost 0-5, Sosa is averaging 15 points in his last four starts with an assist in each of those games. Most overlooked player in the game right now?
8Noussair MazraouiFCBvs SVW10.7M
9Julian RyersonFCUvs FCA5.7M
10David RaumRBLvs SCF12.5MFreiburg always seem to score against Leipzig so he is probably the first name to leave my team this week.

Goalkeepers

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Manuel NeuerFCBvs SVW12.2M
2Jan OlschowskyBMG@BOC1MNot often you see a 1M keeper go up against one of the worst teams in the league.
3Robin ZentnerM05@S046.9M
4Mark FlekkenSCF@RBL11.4MFlekken has nine points in each of his last three games. Consistency.
5Jiri PavlenkaSVW@FCB5.8MMany keepers register their highest scores against Bayern because they are forced to make lots of saves. Maybe this could be the game for Pavlenka.

1Eric Maxim Choupo-MotingFWDFCBvs SVW5.5MChoupo-Moting now has a return in each of his last seven games. Not even Messi can say that...
2Janis BlaswichGKPRBLvs SCF3.3M
3Nadiem AmiriMIDB04@KOE7.8MAlternate midfield option and pretty much the only attacking one from Leverkusen.
4Sven MichelFWDFCUvs FCA4.6M
5Dodi LukebakioFWDBSC@VFB8.8MOne yellow card away from suspension.
6Lennart GrillGKPFCUvs FCA1MExpected to hold his spot till the World Cup now.
