For the final matchday before the World Cup break, all our focus shifts to league-leaders Bayern, who face Schalke in our Bundesliga Fantasy player rankings for matchday 15.

Forwards

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Serge GnabryFCB@S0415.3MMusiala might've scored in the last four games but Gnabry has had the higher ceiling and I am leaning towards him a bit more since he will be going up against make shift left-back Mohr.
2Jamal MusialaFCB@S0414.8M
3Leroy SanéFCB@S0416.1MThe last three Bundesliga games between these teams have ended 0-4, 8-0 and 5-0 with Bayern scoring an average of 5.6 goals per game. So double or even triple Bayern forwards isn't looking like a bad option.
4Moussa DiabyB04vs VFB13.9MSince Xabi took over, Diaby has scored five goals with two assists in five games. In that same time frame, Stuttgart have conceded 11 goals in five games. Diaby and the team are slowly gaining confidence so you would back them to win plus he gives you an alternate star options as he plays for the Bayern game.
5Randal Kolo MuaniSGE@M0512.5MIt was looking good for Mainz after they beat Koln 5-0 but after three defeats in a row including an embarrassing 1-0 loss to Schalke, I am not so confident in the Mainz defence anymore. They will bounce back eventually but I am not expecting it against Frankfurt who have won as many points as Bayern (21) in the last 10 games. Muani also plays after Bayern but flexibility might not be as important this week.
6Marcus ThuramBMGvs BVB13.4M
7Florian NiederlechnerFCAvs BOC7.2MConsistency has and will always be the biggest problem with Niederlechner but he does has have four goals and an assists in his last four starts and faces Bochum at home next.
8Andre SilvaRBL@SVW13.1M
9Youssoufa MoukokoBVB@BMG10.2MBorussia are a completely different team at home. Even more so against Dortmund. The last four Bundesliga games between these teams have all been won by the team playing at home.
10Michael GregoritschSCFvs FCU9.4M

Midfielders

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Christopher NkunkuRBL@SVW17.9MHe has eight goals in his last six starts if there was ever any doubt. Early favourite for POTY and he might finally win it this year.
2Leon GoretzkaFCB@S0415.2MAll of the Bayern wingers might be listed as forwards but their defensive midfielders aren't the worst options when you expect them to score 4+ goals against Schalke.
3Dominik SzoboszlaiRBL@SVW14.2M
4Daichi KamadaSGE@M0512M
5Jesper LindstrømSGE@M0513.1M
6Joshua KimmichFCB@S0417.8MDoes not attack as much when Goretzka starts but still worth a shout.
7Jonas HofmannBMGvs BVB15.3M
8Florian KainzKOE@BSC10MI would love to rank him higher but the team is losing steam and him possibly starting in his sixth game in 14 days does not help.
9Vincenzo GrifoSCFvs FCU15.6M
10Nadiem AmiriB04vs VFB7.8MHe won't score freekicks often but he seems like another player who could find his form under Xabi.

Defenders

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Jeremie FrimpongB04vs VFB12.5MNot rarely will anyone rank another defender higher than a Bayern defender playing against Schalke but with how high he has been playing, Frimpong is as good as any Leverkusen attacker and his next match is against Stuttgart who will be without three first-choice defenders so there is potential for points on both ends.
2Noussair MazraouiFCB@S0411.1MSchalke have only scored two goals against Bayern across all competitions since 2017. The easiest cleansheet all season.
3Lucas HernandezFCB@S0410M
4Mitchel BakkerB04vs VFB9.3M
5David RaumRBL@SVW12.5M
6Paulo OtávioWOB@TSG8.5MI am expecting both sides to score goals but it is worth noting that Wolfsburg have kept a cleansheet in three games in a row. Switch with Kabak if you think Hoffenheim will win.
7Ramy BensebainiBMGvs BVB12.6MA lot less confident about a Borussia cleansheet with Olschowsky playing.
8Niklas SüleBVB@BMG10.7M
9Julian RyersonFCU@SCF5.9M
10IagoFCAvs BOC7.5M
BonusJonas HectorKOE@BSC10MOutside cleansheet chance. Yes, the options in defence are that bad this week that I had to add a Koln defender.

Goalkeepers

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Manuel NeuerFCB@S0412.1MIf you want to go all in on Bayern and get the goalkeeper too. You are probably less likely to get a red arrow if you Bayern hoard this week anyways.
2Lukáš HrádeckýB04vs VFB9.8M
3Rafal GikiewiczFCAvs BOC6.9MOver the last few weeks Augsburg have shown how bad they are at conceding chances but that isn't bad for Gikiewicz as that means more shots to save.
4Mark FlekkenSCFvs FCU11.3MFlekken missing out on the World Cup squad feels really harsh. Depending on how he takes the news it could be more incentive for him to do better against Union.
5Manuel RiemannBOC@FCA5.8M

Value Rankings

RankNamePositionTeamOpponentValueComments
1Eric Maxim Choupo-MotingFWDFCB@S045.5MUnfortunately you can only have a maximum of three Bayern forwards this week.
2Janis BlaswichGKPRBL@SVW3.2M
3Felix NmechaMIDWOB@TSG3.5MJust 3.5M but averaging 11.75 points in his last four games.
4Jan OlschowskyGKPBMGvs BVB1MBudget enabler that plays first this week.
5Lennart GrillGKPFCU@SCF1MBudget enabler that plays last this week.
6Dodi LukebakioFWDBSCvs KOE9M
7Linton MainaMIDKOE@BSC4.6M
8Philip HofmannFWDBOC@FCA5MPotential cleansheet buster again.
9Lukas KüblerDEFSCFvs FCU6.7M
10Kevin BehrensFWDFCU@SCF4.4MHe might not get you goals, but he does win plenty of duels.
