There is a strong argument for doubling or tripling up on Leipzig players as they take on Schalke in our Bundesliga Fantasy player rankings for the week. Matchday 20 is the same as matchday 3 with home and away sides reversed and we kick off the matchday 30 minutes earlier than usual (20:00 CET) with champions Bayern Munich taking on Hertha Berlin at the Olympiastadion Berlin on Friday.

1Robert LewandowskiFCB@BSC23.7MOne game away from making it 10 consecutive games
with goals scored.
2Erling Braut HaalandBVB@SCF19.4MA bit unfortunate to not have scored in the last game but it will be tough to hold him back if you are the team with the most shots conceded after Schalke.
3André SilvaSGE@TSG18.7MHoffenheim might've improved a bit defensively but Frankfurt is on a roll and no other team has scored more goals over the last five matchdays compared to their 15 with Silva scoring seven of them.
4Wout WeghorstWOB@FCA18.3MHis efficiency is a bit of a curse because he has goal in his last four out of five games but hasn't been able to score above 11 points. If he could get more bonus and multiple returns then Weghorst could be a must-have.
5Thomas MüllerFCB@BSC21.4MIt might've gone unnoticed but Müller has been giving tough competition to Lewandowski with an average of 13 points in his last four games.
6Alexander SørlothRBL@S0414MA bit pricy for a forward that is yet to settle in the Bundesliga but the only one who plays Schalke this week.
7Leon BaileyB04Vs VFB14M
8Andrej KramarićTSGVs SGE17.1MKramarić is hitting purple patch form right now but Frankfurt is a tough challenge.
9Nicolás GonzálezVFB@B0410.2MGonzález might be averaging the most number of shots per game this season (4.67) but Leverkusen might be his kryptonite having conceded the least shots per game (9.4) after Leipzig (8.3).

Midfielders

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Christopher NkunkuRBL@S0415.2MAnother blow to Schalke's survival hopes because their tormentor-in-chief Nkunku is back and he has six assists in his last three games against them.
2Joshua KimmichFCB@BSC18.3MThe best Bayern midfielder to have even if he is the only one.
3Jadon SanchoBVB@SCF20.5MSancho under Favre: Zero goals and four assists in nine games.

Sancho under Terzić: Three goals and six assists in eight games.

Enough said.
4Filip KostićSGE@TSG17.2M
5Dani OlmoRBL@S0416.8MThe tormentor-in-chief's henchman.
6Lars StindlBMGVs KOE15.1M
7Florian WirtzB04Vs VFB8.3MHe would be an easy recommendation with games against Stuttgart, Mainz and Augsburg coming up but Leverkusen's recent form of three losses in a row including the 2-1 defeat against fourth-tier Essen in the DFB Pokal does raise concerns.
8Yannick GerhardtWOB@FCA6.9MGerhardt has appeal as a budget option against Augsburg.
9Christoph BaumgartnerTSGVs SGE11.9M
10Ritsu DōanDSCVs SVW9.6MA real workhorse for Arminia in attack but there is even more pressure on him now that the team has slipped into the relegation zone.

Defenders

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1AngeliñoRBL@S0416.7MIt's been a while since we have seen him score but this would be a great game for him to be on the scoresheet having scored his first goal of the season against Schalke.
2Raphaël GuerreiroBVB@SCF16.4M
3Christopher TrimmelFCU@M0510.5MThe return of the assist leader amongst defenders adds the much needed stability for Union in attack as well as defense with consecutive games against the two bottom teams - Mainz and Schalke.
4Paulo OtávioWOB@FCA8.6MWolfsburg are rock solid in defense and have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three games. Additionally, Otávio has a great floor due to the amount of duels he wins.
5Ludwig AugustinssonSVW@DSC9.3MA suspension risk but a defender on set-pieces against the worst attack in the league is a worthy shout.
6Borna SosaVFB@B044.6MSosa has been on fire lately setting up big chances one after another but Leverkusen is an expert in neutralizing threat.
7Nordi MukieleRBL@S0410.8MThere is no limit on number of players from a team so double-trouble in midfield and defense against Schalke this week is a real possibility.
8Ramy BensebainiBMGVs KOE11.8MStands out with an individual fixture against Koln in a week where most of the popular defenders play at the same time.
9Almamy ToureSGE@TSG7.8MThe Durm replacement is another player who has a penchant for attacking bonus.
10Alphonso DaviesFCB@BSC14.1MA good chance at a clean sheet in the early fixture but Bayern defenders have been nothing special this season. Especially considering how much team value they eat up.

Goalkeepers

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Stefan OrtegaDSCVs SVW6.3MArminia have conceded eight goals over the last two games but hoping that they turn it around this time in the final game of the week.
2Gregor KobelVFB@B045.3M
3Andreas LutheFCU@M055.2M
4Rafał GikiewiczFCAVs WOB7.9M
5Florian MüllerSCFVs BVB4.1MThere is potential for saves but it needs to offset the amount of goals they will concede.
