After some impressive displays by Bundesliga teams in the mid-week European games, Bundesliga Fantasy is back for matchday 4 and we review the top 10 players in each position.

1Robert LewandowskiFCBvs BOC18.1MHow many goals will Lewandowski score in the next two games against newly-promoted sides Bochum and Fürth? I think four goals should be the minimum.
2Erling HaalandBVBvs FCU17.4M
3Patrick SchickB04@VFB14MStuttgart still don't have their act together and are second for shots conceded behind Fürth. Leverkusen on the other hand are in fantastic form and I expect Schick to have lots of shots against them.
4Thomas MüllerFCBvs BOC15.5MLewandowski/Müller or Lewandowski/Gnabry could be a big-hitting double in the next two games if you have a third forward with individual fixtures such as Haaland.
5Andrej KramarićTSG@DSC14.7MOrtega is the only reason why the Arminia defence isn't shipping multiple goals in every game and even though Hoffenheim failed to register a single shot on target in the last game against Mainz, I expect this game to go the opposite way.
6Wout WeghorstWOBvs SGE14.9MI can see him score against the same Frankfurt defence that struggled against Arminia last week but I am not sure if he will be worth it after watching Wolfsburg sit back after taking the lead against the worst defence in the league. Weghorst himself had only two shots and finished on only 10 points despite having a goal and an assist.
7Anthony ModesteKOEvs RBL7.1MModeste is the only player other than Lewandowski to have got double-digit scores in each game so far and that in itself says a lot.
8André SilvaRBL@KOE15.1M
9Breel EmboloBMG@FCA9.7M
10Branimir HrgotaSGF@BSC6.1MIf there is one thing to learn from Hertha's first win last week it is that the defence is still leaky. Bochum had 18 shots and a higher xG but did not take their chances so Hrgota could be a one week differential punt.

Midfielders

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Lars StindlBMG@FCA13.4MA week too late but we finally won't have to debate who is better between Stindl and Hofmann now.
2Jamal MusialaFCBvs BOC12MBochum put up a big fight last week but were still thrashed by a struggling Hertha team. That is just a warning sign before Lewandowski & Co arrives on the back of some high-scoring games which has seen them score a minimum of 4 goals on average in their last three Bundesliga games.

The rotation risk still remains with Musiala despite his impressive performances but we should know whether he starts or not next week as Bayern Munich play Greuther Fürth on a Friday.
3Florian WirtzB04@VFB11.2MWirtz is a rising star in the league just like Musiala and is in great form with 2 goals and 3 assists in just 3 games. He is going to be a key player for Leverkusen this season and I expect him to be the next must-have player in fantasy if he continues scoring and creating goals for fun.
4Joshua KimmichFCBvs BOC15.9M
5Christopher NkunkuRBL@KOE14.2MFresh off a hattrick against Manchester City in the Champions League and I think that he deserves more love with games against Koln, Hertha, and Bochum incoming.
6Suat SerdarBSCvs SGF9.1MI touted Serdar as a possible "spammer" at the start of the season but I am disappointed that it took him four matchdays to kick into final gear. That being said, he only took two shots to score two goals against Bochum but I expect him to have a lot more chances against the team that has conceded the most shots and goals in the league so far. The best midfielder you can pick from Hertha for the early game since Richter is a doubt.
7Filip KostićSGE@WOB14.3MAn unmotived Kostić has a goal and an assist in the two matches since the blunder with the emails that denied him a transfer to Lazio and he is still better than most of the midfielders in the game.
8Christoph BaumgartnerTSG@DSC11.2M
9Ridle BakuWOBvs SGE11.5MFrankfurt have looked far from their best and are yet to win a single game across all competitions but I would still avoid Baku because of Van Bommel's regressive tactics and the potential rotation risk because of the Champions League.
10Dani OlmoRBL@KOE13.7M

Defenders

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Alphonso DaviesFCBvs BOC14MThis is your sign to get Davies in your team if you haven't.
2Raphaël GuerreiroBVBvs FCU14.4M
3Kevin MbabuWOBvs SGE10.8MThe only positive of Van Bommel becoming the Wolfsburg head coach is that they probably have the best defence in the league now and have conceded just one goal so far which was a penalty.
4Anderson LucoquiM05vs SCF6.3MMainz is Freiburg's boogie team so I expect them to cruise through with the form they are in. Lucoqui is my choice over Widmer because he is 1.3M cheaper and has also been taking more shots and creating more key passes than Widmer.
5Mitchell BakkerB04@VFB7.2M
6Joe ScallyBMG@FCA2.1MAugsburg have scored just once in their four first matches and even though Borussia have been struggling defensively themselves, Scally is still a great budget pick with good clean sheet odds for this week.
7Marvin PlattenhardtBSCvs SGF6.8MThese are the two worst defences in the league currently so I expect both the teams to concede but Plattenhardt could get some bonus points and possibly an attacking return from his set-pieces.
8Mohamed SimakanRBL@KOE9.5M
9Borna SosaVFBvs B0410.9MSosa will return to his old levels eventually but I just don't think that he will turn it around in this game.
10Pavel KadeřábekTSG@DSC9.7M

Goalkeepers

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Mark FlekkenSCF@M056.4MFlekken has been the most consistent keeper under 8M so far and is yet to score below 5 points in a matchday. Guess he might be the set and forget keeper for this season as well.
2Robin ZentnerM05vs SGF6.4MZentner is owned by just 2% of managers so far but plays for one of the best defensive teams in the league and has been averaging 7 points per game.
3Stefan OrtegaDSCvs TSG8MOrtega has been on a downward spiral with scores of 14,7,4,-2 so I am a bit sceptical even though he has a game against shoot-at-free-will Hoffenheim.
4Manuel RiemannBOC@FCB5.1MIf you have a keeper that plays after Riemann this week then you might want to wait and watch whether he gets 15 points or a -2 against Bayern.
5Sascha BurchertSGF@BSC5MEarly fixture so he can be rotated with Riemann in case he flops.

1Karim OnisiwoFWDM05vs SCF6.8M
2PaulinhoFWDB04@VFB6.9MPaulinho has incredible finesse and skill so it is only time till he finds the back of the net.
3Niko GießelmannDEFFCU@BVB4.1MHe has been taking more shots than his team's striker which explains why he has two goals and at 4.1M, what is not to love?
4Ishak BelfodilFWDBSCvs SGF5.9M
5Omar MarmoushFWDVFBvs B043.3M
6Robin HackMIDDSCvs TSG5.4M
