Bundesliga Fantasy is back and so are our player rankings. Which players rank in the top 10 in each position? Find out in this article.
|Randal Kolo Muani||SGE||vs SVD||15M||Controversial but I think Kolo Muani against the worst defence in the league might do better than an Englishman in his first ever Bundesliga game under a struggling coach who has won only five out of 18 games for Bayern while losing 11. Just keep an eye on whether he starts or not because he is both ill and wants to get as far away from the club as soon as possible.
|Harry Kane||FCB||@SVW||13.5M||Kane needs no introduction but it is worth mentioning that he has by far the highest odds to win the golden boot this season (63.6% compared to Haller at 9.1% in second) and highest odds to score this week at 71% ahead of Kolo Muani at 54%. This is the biggest chance he has to make a good impression and set the tone for the rest of the season/
|Sébastien Haller||BVB||vs KOE||14M||Slightly split between him and Malen as he probably won't be on penalties anymore but the odds are in his favour and he has done better than Malen under Terzic so I prefer him.
|4||Serge Gnabry||FCB||@SVW||14M||It is a known fact that he loves playing against his old teams and scoring against them. Werder Bremen is no exception as he has seven goals and two assists in 10 games and has scored in each of the last three games against them. Fully expecting Gnabry to wreak havoc against Jung.
Update: He is ill and might not start.
|Loïs Openda||RBL||@B04||12.6M||Already shining in pre season but this is one game that could go either way and if I had to pick the most likely goal-scorer from it, I would still select Openda. Even if he doesn't score, he should have a decent score from shots and pass to shots plus he is also on sale.
|Donyell Malen||BVB||vs KOE||14M
|Serhou Guirassy||VFB||vs BOC||12M||Guirassy is one of the most underrated players in the league scoring 11 goals in 22 matches last season and could easily be vaulted higher as he has a 49% chance to score against Bochum in a fully sold out game but the lack of Sosa and Vagnoman as full-backs does hurt him a bit.
|Tomáš Čvančara||BMG||@FCA||10.8M||There are many better options around but he is on sale as well as set-pieces so he isn't the worst shout as a differential. That being said, I am a little skeptical of this Borussia squad because they only won one away game last year despite having Hofmann, Thuram and Stindl so I think an upset might be brewing.
|Jonas Wind||WOB||vs FCH||10M||Tomas and Wind have both stood out in pre-season but Wind is more nailed and has looked good even against decent opposition. Wolfsburg have good fixtures to start with and this could be an open game with points for attackers on both sides.
|Andrej Kramarić||TSG||vs SCF||12M||I have always been a Kramarić believer and I think he might be an even better option this season as he if the sole playmaker for the team that isn't a wing-back and actually has competent strikers with experience in front of him (Weghorst and Bülter). Another option I considered for this spot was Victor Boniface.
|Jamal Musiala||FCB||@SVW||15M||If you're squeezing in a 15M player here in matchday 1, it should probably me Musiala. His numbers are going to get better from his 22 G/A last season and the position change is going to work wonders in fantasy.
|Julian Brandt||BVB||vs KOE||15M
|Vincenzo Grifo||SCF||@TSG||15M||He is expensive and being overlooked by many managers but I can't ignore him with fixtures against TSG (A), SVW (H) and VFB (A) who all finished in the bottom last season. Not to mention how terrible Hoffenheim were at defending set-pieces although signing Szalai should help. Grifo just had his best season with 15 goals and 5 assists, is on every set-piece for Freiburg and is virtually a lock for a top-5 midfielder in fantasy.
|Florian Wirtz||B04||vs RBL||14M||Choosing Wirtz over Hofmann because Leverkusen won't be as reliant on the latter as Borussia did and Wirtz won't
|Jesper Lindstrøm||SGE||vs SVD||13M||The easiest matchup you could ask for this week and predicted to play OOP as a striker.
|Jonas Hofmann||B04||vs RBL||15M
|Václav Černý||WOB||vs FCH||7.2M||I think Wolfsburg can surprise a few people with the team they are building under Kovac and Černý is easily the best sub-10M midfielder for MD1.
|Marco Reus||BVB||vs KOE||13M||A bigger minutes risk than Brandt with the club signing new midfielders but no attackers.
|Nathan Ngoumou||BMG||@FCA||6M||Ngoumou might be unknown but he has five goals and three assists in pre-season so this might be his breakout season. One of the best budget midfielder for the long run.
|Ramy Bensebaini||BVB||vs KOE||13M||Excellent cleansheet odds+Best run of fixtures till the IB+Should have the same attacking freedom as Guerreiro did. There is a good chance that Dortmund keep at least two cleansheets before the IB.
|Philipp Max||SGE||vs SVD||10M||One week punt against the worst attack in the league.
|Alphonso Davies||FCB||@SVW||15M||He was far from impressive last season and I am not expecting things to improve much as he is predicted to play as a full-back but I can't imagine myself not getting a Bayern defender. Just hoping that Mazraoui starts so that I don't have to spend 15M on davies.
|Josip Juranović||FCU||vs M05||10M||On the best defence in the league and won't have to share set-pieces with Trimmel anymore.
|Joakim Mæhle||WOB||vs FCH||8M||Offensively he is as good if not better than wing-back Baku.
|Álex Grimaldo||B04||vs RBL||10M||Frimpong but with set-pieces and a 4M cheaper price tag.
|Benjamin Pavard||FCB||@SVW||12M||Looks like he is almost guaranteed to leave so you will immediately have to spend a transfer on him.
|Luca Netz||BMG||@FCA||7M||One of the brightest talents that Borussia have and if he gets consistent game time, he could have a breakout season. 7M is a bargain for an attacking wing-back.
|Gregor Kobel||BVB||vs KOE||11M||I like his cleansheet and saves potential but too expensive to be viable so early in the season.
|Marcel Schuhen||SVD||@SGE||5M||If save percentage (78.6%) is anything should go by, he might quickly become the go-to keeper in fantasy like Ortega was. I like him even better if Kolo Muani is out because Frankfurt will struggle to finish their chances which means more saves for Schuhen.
|Frederik Rønnow||FCU||vs M05||9M
|Alexander Nübel||VFB||vs BOC||6.3M
Bayern are signing his replacement and Neuer will be back soon as well but I think he should be safe for the first three matchdays at least.
|Marvin Pieringer||FWD||FCH||@WOB||5M||One of the standouts of last season, Pieringer had 10 goals and eight assists in just 23 matches for Paderborn. A great third option for the bench.
|Julian Justvan||MID||TSG||vs SCF||4M||Five goals and six assists for Paderborn last season but predicted to play as a wing-back. Still the best midfielder under 5M.
|Mats Hummels||DEF||BVB||vs KOE||9M||The cheapest starting defender from Dortmund. Ryerson costs the same but I prefer Hummels' threat from corners and his ability to win more duels.
|Robin Knoche||DEF||FCU||vs M05||7M||Duel-winning center-back that is also on penalties.
|Silas Katompa Mvumpa||FWD||VFB||vs BOC||9M||I believe a fully fit Silas can be just as good as Guirassy.
|Janis Blaswich||GKP||RBL||@B04||5M||The cheapest keeper predicted to start alongside Schuhen, Ulreich and Kevin Müller.
|Fraser Hornby||FWD||SVD||@SGE||2.7M||The cheapest forward predicted to start this week. Other option at 3M is Eren Dinkçi.
|Frederik Winther||DEF||FCA||vs BMG||2M||The cheapest defender that doesn't play for Darmstadt predicted to start this week
|Leart Paqarada||DEF||KOE||@BVB||6M||Terrible run of fixtures and FC Köln won't keep too many cleansheets but he did have 13 G/A in the 2. Bundesliga last season and is great at winning duels so he should have a decent floor.
|Adrian Beck||MID||FCH||@WOB||3M||The cheapest midfielder predicted to start this week alongside Freiburg's Merlin Röhl. I would just pay the extra 1M for Justvan.
