Fantasy Bundesliga: The Best Premium, Mid-range and Budget Scout Squads So Far

As we’re heading towards the end of the second international break, let’s look at the teams of the year so far in Fantasy Bundesliga by price class. Use these scout squads for your unlimited transfer window plans. It will give you a good overview of different combinations of players.

The Premium Team

Let’s consider players 11M and above as premium-priced players. Of course, we have the two giants of the game upfront, Erling Haaland (93 points/17.6M) and Robert Lewandowski (90 points/18.4M). Haaland, despite missing two matches, still tops the fantasy points table. No surprise to anyone is third-placed Patrik Schick (78 points/14.6M).

In midfield, we have the fantastic Christopher Nkunku (86 points/15.3M), who has been tearing up the league as of late. Next to him, we have the next Leverkusen Wunderkind Florian “Kai who?“ Wirtz (85 points/12.4M). Bayern’s midfield pairing of Joshua Kimmich (71 points/16.4M) and Leon Goretzka (64 points/15.1M) take up slots three and four, with Filip Kostić (68 points/15.2M) rounding up this very tasty midfield quintet.

The defense starts off with a surprise: Christian Günter (71 points/12.3M) has racked up the most points as a defender. The always dangerous Alphonso Davies (64 points/14.2M) and Raphael Guerreiro (58 points/15M) are lurking in the points table, with Borna Sosa (51 points/11.2M) and Martin Hinteregger (48 points/11.5M) lagging behind.

Goalkeepers aren’t in the same price range, so for this team, we have Bayer Leverkusen’s Lukáš Hrádecký (64 points/9.1M) and Borussia’s Yann Sommer (49 points/9.5M).

Bench: Christian Günter, Borna Sosa, Leon Goretzka and Yann Sommer

The Mid-range Team

Starting up front we have the resurgent Anthony Modeste (64 points/7.5M) along with fellow big men Taiwo Awoniyi (55 points/8M) and Fabian Klos (48 points/7.9M).

The midfield is dominated by Köln with their creative sparkplug Florian Kainz (56 points/7.9M) ahead of Ellyes Skhiri (55 points/7.6M) and Jonas Hector (47 points/9.8M), who is out of position but still racking up points. Alongside them are the reliable Wataru Endo (52 points/9M) and Suat Serdar (39 points/9.3M), who frankly deserves to be playing for a better side.

This season has blessed us with a smorgasbord of tasty mid-range defense options. Jeremie Frimpong (68 points/7.8M) is the right-back Leverkusen has been searching for some time. Then come the won duels beasts: Marc-Oliver Kempf (62 points/7.5M), an aerial threat to boot, Nico Schlotterbeck (60 points/7.9M), along with Leipzig’s new signings Joško Gvardiol (53 points/9.9M) and Mohamed Simakan (51 points/9.8M).

For the Mid-Range Team, we have Freiburg’s Mark Flekken (52 points/6.8M) and Robin Zentner (41 points/6.5M) from Mainz in between the goal.

Bench: Fabian Klos, Mohamed Simakan, Suat Serdar and Robin Zentner

The Budget Squad

Here you’ll find your enablers, the ones you can risk your money on. But don’t overlook these fellows. Some outscore even their premium counterparts!

Up front we have tireless worker Lucas Höler (53 points/7M), Stuttgart’s youngster Omar Marmoush (41 points/3.8M) and Fürth skipper Branimir Hrgota (34 points/6.3M).

Freiburg continues churning out value options with Woo-Yeong Jeong (43 points/4.5M) leading the points table in this price class. Tailing him are Masaya Okugawa (37 points/6.1M), Roberto Massimo (36 points/4.2M), Leandro Barreiro (31 points/6.2M) and Alessandro Schöpf (31 points/6.2M).

Here’s where to get your highest value picks, the budget squad defense: This year’s 2020/21 Borna Sosa is Niko Gießelmann with an astounding 65 points for a measly 4.3M. Right behind him is Benno Schmitz (58 points/5M). Kempf’s Stuttgart team-mate Konstantinos Mavropanos (51 points/6.7M), Joe Scally (48 points/2.5m) and Phillip Lienhart (46 points/5.4M).

Manuel Riemann (41 points/5.2M) and Timo Horn (37 points/5.9M) are filling in the spot between the sticks for the budget squad.
