Bundesliga Fantasy Player Rankings: Matchday 14

A resilient Bayern Munich side on the back of wins against two unbeaten teams in a row is our favourite fantasy play for the week as they take on Mainz at home which could result in goals and points aplenty. These are our Bundesliga Fantasy player rankings for matchday 14:

1Robert LewandowskiFCBVs M0521.8MA home game against the second worst defense in the league in Mainz has the potential to be a game like Bayern 8-0 Schalke. At the very least you could expect some goals.
2Erling Braut HaalandBVBVs WOB18.6M
3Matheus CunhaBSCVs S0414.4MStruggling with form? Conflict with the manager? I think I can overlook that for a week since he plays Schalke.
4Kingsley ComanFCBVs M0514.7MDouble-trouble against troubled Mainz? Could work if you expect this to be high scoring (Bayern have scored six goals in each of their last two home games against Mainz). Coman is a doubt for the game however.
5Leon BaileyB04@SGE13.1M
6Andre SilvaSGEVs B0416.5MThe departure of Bas Dost to Belgium means that Silva is the undisputed striker for Frankfurt now and rightly so for his nine goals and two assists which puts him just behind Lewandowski and Haaland in the goal scoring charts.
7Andrej KramarićTSGVs SCF15.6M
8Wout WeghorstWOB@BVB17.1MBorussia Dortmund seem to have forgotten how to defend set-pieces and teams have exploited that vulnerability very well recently. The towering Weghorst is definitely going to send them into a frenzy every time he gets ready to head the ball.
9Yussuf PoulsenRBL@VFB12MStuttgart are tied for the second most set-piece goals conceded along with Dormtund (six) after Schalke (9) so here is another target man worth considering.
10Alassane PléaBMG@DSC15.9M

Midfielders

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Lars StindlBMG@DSC14MYet to be seen how the returning Hofmann affects his production but I will still prefer Stindl due to the fact that Hofmann was almost playing as a defensive midfielder-center back hybrid before getting injured.
2Joshua KimmichFCBVs M0516.6MHe is a breath of fresh air in a team that was losing some steam and he will look to add to his tally of one goal and five assists in seven games this season against Mainz.
3Vincenzo GrifoSCF@TSG13.7M
4Nadiem AmiriB04@SGE13.3MNo, nothing is wrong with having Wirtz but Amiri's recent performances and set-piece responsibilities give him the edge for me.
5Daniel CaligiuriFCA@KOE10.9MKoln have conceded the most goals at home in the Bundesliga (yes, Schalke finally beat someone) and Caligiuri could be an interesting differential.
6Giovanni ReynaBVBVs WOB8.7M
7Christoph BaumgartnerTSGVs SCF11.3MOne to watch out for since he plays the team that has conceded the third most shots and most shots one after the other (Freiburg and Schalke).
8Ritsu DōanDSCVs BMG8.4M
9Dani OlmoRBL@VFB15.4M
10Aymen BarkokSGEVs B043.9M

Defenders

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1AngeliñoRBL@VFB15.8M
2Raphaël GuerreiroBVBVs WOB15.7MGuerreiro's assist against Union in the last matchday maintains his 100% record of being involved in a goal as a left-back in every game in the Bundesliga this season (one goal and five assists in four games).
3Alphonso DaviesFCBVs M0514.4MMainz have failed to score in their last three games and scoring against Bayern seems like a herculean task even though FCB has been going through defensive woes as of late.
4Maximilian MittelstädtBSCVs S048MHertha is far away from being even half-decent defensively but a game against the worst attack + worst set-piece defending team might be a good time to own Mittelstädt if you like the prospect of a potential clean sheet and attacking bonus/returns.
5Christopher TrimmelFCU@SVW10.6MI'd rather have Trimmel over Freidrich on any given day but you must keep in mind that Trimmel is one yellow card away from suspension.
6Christian GünterSCF@TSG12M
7Ludwig AugustinssonSVWVs FCU9.7M
8Kevin MbabuWOB@BVB10.5M
9Stefan LainerBMG@DSC10.2MNot too keen on a Borussia defender but they are a decent shout for a clean sheet this week.
10Borna SosaVFBVs RBL4.3M

Goalkeepers

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Frederik RønnowS04@BSC1.7MRonnow coming back is a great way to start the new year. No keeper worries anymore.
2Stefan OrtegaDSCVs BMG5.6M
3Rafał GikiewiczFCA@KOE7.5M
4Andreas LutheFCU@SVW4.8M
5Gregor KobelVFBVs RBL5.2MThere is always the possibility that Leipzig will run through their opponents by scoring multiple goals but the sleeping giant is dormant right now and save points are on the menu.
