Bundesliga Fantasy Player Rankings: Matchday 10

The lack of form, injuries, rotation and tough games forms a dangerous mix as Bundesliga Fantasy heads into matchday 10. These are our player rankings for the week:

Forwards

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Robert LewandowskiFCBVs RBL20.6MHe was rested for the UCL game against Atletico and it should do him good against Leipzig. His opponents might have conceded the least goals in the Bundesliga with six but their recent performance where they conceded three goals against İstanbul Başakşehir in a 3-4 win will surely raise some eyebrows.
2Andrej KramarićTSGVs FCA15.4MKramaric's heatmaps in the last two games suggest he has been playing in midfield which is concerning but Hoffenheim can't look away from their top goal-scorer if they want to score goals.
3Matheus CunhaBSCVs FCU14.3M
4Andre SilvaSGEVs BVB16.2MDortmund could be missing 3/4 players in their defense with Guerreiro, Hummels and Meunier all a doubt for the game.
5Alassane PléaBMG@SCF15.8MPléa has been on a roll in the champions league scoring five goals in five games. Just needs to convert that performance in the Bundesliga now against the third worst-defence in Freiburg.
6Jean-Phillipe MatetaM05@DSC11.5MMateta deserved a goal against Hoffenheim with all the chances he got but with a little bit of luck on his side, he can do it against Arminia.
7Patrik SchickB04@S0413.8MIn the absence of Alario, Schick should remain a constant threat from set-pieces against the worst set-piece defending team in the league.
8Max KruseFCU@BSC12.7M
9Saša KalajdžićVFB@SVW5M
10Marco ReusBVB@SGE16.9MHe averages 8 points for games where he starts and is Favre's choice for Haland's replacement. Reus is the only option left if you still want a Dortmund forward.

Midfielders

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Lars StindlBMGVs S0413.1MPrime midfield option for the week. Also the prime candidate for rotation this week since the upcoming Freiburg game isn't as important as the Real Madrid one.
2Filip KostićSGEVs BVB14.8M
3Florian WirtzB04@S047.1MIn a week where a lot of evenly matched teams are playing each other, this is the best game on paper.
4Christoph BaumgartnerTSGVs FCA10.7M
5Jadon SanchoBVB@SGE17.5MSancho hasn't been his old self so all we can do is be patient and hope for him to return in a game which could be high-scoring. He has scored in each of his last two games against Frankfurt.
6Vincenzo GrifoSCFVs BMG12.5MFreiburg is no Inter Milan but if Borussia play the same backline with Jantschke and Wendt that conceded three goals then it won't inspire much confidence in me.
7Mateo KlimowiczVFB@SVW1.4MI like the idea of a shot-spammer at just 1.4M but he could be a must-have player if his finishing improves.
8Leon GoretzkaFCBVs RBL14.8M
9Jean-Paul BoëtiusM05@DSC9.6M
10Daniel Caligiuri FCA@TSG10.2M

Defenders

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Borna SosaVFB@SVW3.9MSosa plays really high up the pitch and also shares set-pieces. If he was guaranteed minutes then most teams would have him.
2Lars BenderB04@S049.9MBender got an incredible 12 points for bonus last week and is the best bet for a clean sheet against toothless Schalke.
3AngeliñoRBL@FCB15.3MHe has a goal/assist in his last three Bundesliga games but he can only rank so high when he plays against Bayern.
4Oscar WendtBMG@SCF6.6M
5Lucas HernandezFCBVs RBL12M
6Maxence LacroixWOB@KOE4.7MA small chance he doesn't start against Koln.
7Christopher TrimmelFCU@BSC10M
8Ludwig AugustinssonSVWVs VFB9.5M
9Ryan SessegnonTSGVs FCA8.9M
10Daniel BrosinskiM05@DSC8.2MArminia are down there with Schalke for the worst offense in the league with just six goals scored so far.

Goalkeepers

RankNameTeamOpponentValueComments
1Frederik RønnowS04Vs B042.1MRønnow is another doubt for this week so it is best to keep another goalkeeper ready. A positive is that he has an individual fixture so every other keeper rotates with him.
2Robin ZentnerM05@DSC4.6MCan't believe I would say this but Mainz got a fair cleansheet chance this week.
3Stefan OrtegaDSCVs M055.2M
4Gregor KobelVFB@SVW5.1M
5Rafał GikiewiczFCA@TSG7.5MGikiewicz is the only keeper in this list who plays after the Schalke game. He is also enjoying a good run of form and has seven points in each of his last two games.
